On average, a bullish sentiment persists in the G-sec market throughout 2023.

During the first half of 2023, the prices of G-secs experienced appreciation, attributed to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) opting to pause rate hikes and maintain a status quo. However, during the latter half of the year, there was an upward movement in G-sec yields.
